Privacy Policy
This site is run privately and non-commercially. It collects only the minimum data needed to understand how visitors find and use the documentation.
What is collected
Only after you click Accept on the consent banner, the site loads PostHog (EU servers) to record:
- Page views — which page was viewed and when.
- Approximate location — country, region, and city derived server-side from your IP address. The IP itself is not stored alongside the event.
- Browser and device — coarse user-agent information (browser family, OS, screen size).
- Referrer — the page or search engine that brought you here, if your browser provides it.
- Anonymous identifier — a random ID stored in a first-party cookie so repeat visits from the same browser can be counted as one visitor. No name, no email, no account is associated with this ID.
What is not collected
- No account or login data (the site has no login).
- No mouse-movement tracking, session replay, or screen recording.
- No advertising trackers, no third-party advertising cookies.
- No sale or sharing of visitor data with third parties for marketing.
Why this is collected
To understand which pages are useful, which are unused, and roughly where visitors come from, so the documentation can be prioritized and improved. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6 §1 a) — given by clicking Accept on the banner.
Where the data goes
Events are sent to PostHog Cloud's EU region (eu.i.posthog.com), hosted within the EU. Requests pass through this site as a same-origin reverse proxy (/ingest/…); the destination is PostHog. No other third party receives the data.
Retention
Events are kept by PostHog for their default retention period (7 years on the Cloud free tier at the time of writing). The first-party cookie used to identify a browser expires after 12 months of inactivity.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Withdraw consent at any time— clear your cookies for this site, or open your browser's site-data settings and delete the
ph_*cookies. New events stop being captured immediately and the banner will appear again on your next visit. - Request access, correction, or deletion of any data tied to your anonymous identifier. Because the ID is in your browser, the easiest path is to send it to the email below along with your request.
